Motorola MPx200 SmartPhone firmware Test: BEN6-0630-012.img
This is the generic Motorola firmware for the MPx200 SmartPhone this is my experience on using it.
MPx200 Firmware: Test day 1:
I have just flashed the SmartPhone, everything seems to be ok, the battery is fully charged. I made the hard reset, installed the apps I commonly use and started monitoring the SmartPhone's performance. No remarks on my MPx200 SmartPhone till now.
MPx200 Firmware: Test day 2:
By the end of the day I have noticed that there is no problem on playing MIDI as on some other firmware versions, I can receive and make calls normally without any problems or delays. The SmartPhone works amazingly well up to now. The reception is batter than most of the firmware I used outdoor and indoors. I have reception even in the basement of my block where I didn't had any. I have about 23 minutes of talk time up to now I have sent about 5-6 SMS messages, I fooled around with the phone a little bit. The battery level is 82% by SP Task Manager. I've noticed that my Motorola MPx200 SmartPhone works perfect up to now and the power consummation is quite low.
MPx200 Firmware: Test day 3:
Its 7:30 AM and here is my report on Motorola MPx200
performance. Battery level is down on 65%. I have 37
minutes of talk time since I charged it and flashed it with the
new firmware. I installed BetaPlayer today and watched a
15 minute video on my phone. The battery and the
reception are not bad at all. So far so good. I guess I have
found a stabile firmware version.
MPx200 Firmware: Test day 4: Game over
Today the battery depleted after 4 day of intensive use. What happened so the battery could drop from 65% to zero? Well as first I was out all day and I listened to some MP3s on the phone for about an hour, watched a 52 min movie on the phone and talked a little bit.
Test conclusion
This MPx200 firmware version defiantly works fine for me. In these four days of using it I had absolutely no problems using the phone. I watched video clips, I talked all at all somewhere around 45 minutes, I listened to music and the battery lasted for whole four days. This Motorola MPx200 firmware (Windows Mobile for SmartPhone 2002) is the most stabile version of firmware I have ever used. The phone did not block while playing music/video, receiving/making calls and whatever I did it was just normal. The network reception was ok and without the MMS software on the phone my Motorola MPx200 was a bit faster, or at least the Inbox access. But this doesn't mean that it will be the same with your phone. The choice is all yours!
